Description

     The Silicate Base Coat with Quartz for Priming “Emex” Plasters is a professional hydro-soluble product, of potassium silicate, pigments, fillers, specific additives, and quartz for superior preparation of exterior surfaces, in order to cover them with structured silicate decorative plasters. The quartz which exists in the product creates anchor points at the surface, determining a maximum adhesion of the plaster to the support. The product has a special resistance and protective properties against fungi, bacteria and molds.

Utilization Domains

     The Silicate Base Coat with Quartz for Priming “Emex” Plasters is used for preparation of exterior surfaces of civil and industrial buildings, new or old, in order to coveri them with structured silicate decorative plasters.

    The role of this base coat is both to increase the plaster adhesion to the support, with the help of quartz particles existing in the product and to prepare the surface by closing the pores and thus decreasing the absorbability of the support. It is impermeable to water but allows support breathing.

     It is used as intermediary layer for covering the following types of surfaces: concrete, masonry, lime and cement plaster, old compact and resistant plasters, absorbent mineral conglomerates of any type, old mineral paintings, dry, compact and absorbent paintings.

It will not be applied on gypsum board, gypsum or lime plaster, old paint layers rich in resins, synthetic materials and resins, acrylic paints, glue or casein paints, varnishes, oil paints, etc.

     It is recommended to remove any old paint and test each type of support on which you will apply the primer or base coat and after the silicate plaster.

     For cleaning traces of dampness or of existing molds it will use Forte “Emex” Sanitizer.

     The application of this base coat is strictly limited to a system with “Emex”decorative silicate plaster and background layer “Emex” silicate emulsion paint.
