Description

     The “Emex” Automotive Anticorrosive Base Coat is a monocomponent, professional product, with air drying, based on weak alkyd resins, melamine resins, pigments, specific additives, cutting edge ecologic anti-corrosive agents, without lead or chromium salts, aluminum paste and organic solvents, with great resistance and very good adherence to the support, used as initial layer for protecting metal elements of the car bodies or equipment subsystems. It can be colored in characteristic colors: red, gray, yellow, black.

Utilization Domains

     The “Emex” Automotive Anticorrosive Base Coat is intended for professional use as initial layer for anticorrosive protection of the car body elements and parts, equipments, (cranes, bridges, lift trucks, etc.).

     The product is used both for protecting the new metallic surfaces and those that have been painted with other compatible coatings.

     If it is used on surfaces which were painted before, it is recommended to previously apply an “Emex CM Cleaner” remover, or “Emex PC ECO” ecologic remover, followed by mechanical cleaning.

     In case of an old layer of rust, it will use the “Emex Rust Stop” Solution For Removing Rust.

     The product is prevalently intended for car bodies and parts or equipments, but it can be used on any other metallic surfaces: pipes, ducts, tanks, radiators, sheet metal, frames and metallic racks, grills, railings, metal furniture, metal mounting brackets, fences, railings, gates, metal fittings, iron poles, scenes, beams, metal stands and canopies, etc.

     The dilution will be done with “Emex” Automotive Diluent.

     This base coat is used with excellent results in system with the “Emex” Automotive Enamel for Equipment, but it is compatible with all alkyd paints, with the condition of respecting the application instructions.

     It is not recommended for new galvanized steel or stainless steel.
