Description

     The “Emex Wood PRX” Fireproof Intumescent Paint is a professional product based on synthetic resins, additives and specific extenders for protection of wood resistant structures, of the wood supports or wood materials, providing an active protection against fire by creating a term protecting shield of fireproof rigid foam. Depending on the thickness of the applied layer and therefore the number of layers, the fireproof paint can delay the fire about 60 minutes. The product can be delivered only white or gray color.

     The “Emex Wood PRX” Fireproof Intumescent Paint is a monocomponent professional product, fabricated of a special mix of synthetic resins, special raw materials (retardants powders and mineral powders) and biocide substances, intended for protecting wood surfaces against fire.

     The fire protection mechanism is based on formation, at high temperatures, of a rigid foam shield, resistant to fire, which may delay the action of flames about 60 minutes (or up to 3 hours in big thickness).

     The fireproof paint is intended mainly for protecting wood structures, but also any other wood surfaces, ply or PFL exposed to flammability risk in civil and industrial buildings, such as: walls, doors, beams, support structures, etc..

     The application of the infusible intumescent paints is mandatory for most buildings, especially for those located in areas where is human staff, and in all cases where fire may endanger life or citizens’ property.

     If there are any previous protections, of any kind, it is recommended to remove any of paints by applying a remover type “Emex CM Cleaner”, or an ecologic remover “Emex PC ECO” followed by mechanical cleaning, roughening and removal of resulted dust.

     After application in at least two layers, you can paint in any shade, with compatible paints recommended by manufacturer.
